An ornamental evergreen shrub, resistant to bad weather and temperature changes. It blooms long and abundantly with small creamy-white flowers, after which brushes with red berries appear (not edible).

Pyracantha looks spectacular at any time of the year. In winter, the tree is covered with evergreen foliage. This beautiful and unpretentious plant is a good choice for growing bonsai.

Stratification

The seeds need to be stratified in moist peat for 3 months.

Plant care

The plant is light loving and can be grown indoors in good light and plenty of fresh air. During the winter period the temperature needs to be between -2 and +8 °С. 
It does not need abundant watering, enough 1–2 times a week, but make sure the soil does not dry out.

Fertilize with liquid fertilizer once a week until flowering begins. After fruit development, continue to fertilize once every 2 weeks until mid-autumn.
Pruning - before new shoots appear or at the end of summer after growth has ceased.
Transplants once every three years, by the method of transplanting, so as not to damage the root system. Bending the branches during formation to produce with special care as they are delicate and easily break.
