Plastic bowl (8285)

A pebble bowl is necessary for tropical and subtropical bonsai to increase indoor humidity around the plant.

Included in the package:
- black round plastic bowl, diameter 190 mm, height 28 mm;
- pebbles (for free).

Optimum humidity 60-80% for plants such as:
- ficus
- carmona
- bougainvillea
- premna
- serissa
- tamarind
- murraya
- guava
- money tree
- orchid tree
- gardenia
- hibiscus
- boxwood
- tabebuya
- crassula

Optimum humidity 50-70% for plants such as:
- azalea
- myrtle
- olive
- pomegranate
- turquoise
- pomegranate
- citrus
- lagerstremia
- myrtle
- camellia
- cork oak
- cotoneaster

The tray should be larger than the pot with the plant and its thickness should be 2- 6 cm. Water is poured so that the bottom of the pot stands on the pebbles and not in the water. Water is refilled as it evaporates.

This technique also helps outdoors (in hot weather and when there is no wind).

A tray with wet pebbles does not replace watering, but only increases local humidity, thereby reducing the frequency of watering and spraying. This sometimes saves the plant from drying out and overheating.
